To Sale or Not to Sale? A Question for You 🤔
It is that time of the year again. Your inbox is probably exploding with emails. “Black Friday!”, “-50% OFF!”, “Mega Sale!”. Naturally, it is tempting, isn’t it? We all love a good deal.

However, before you click on the next coupon, I want to ask you something honest. When you see a handmade jewelry brand offering a huge -50% discount, what is your first thought? Do you feel lucky? Or do you start to wonder: “If they can sell it for half price today, was it overpriced yesterday?” Or perhaps, you start to doubt if it is truly handmade at all.
Let me take you behind the scenes of my workshop for a minute
For example, imagine a factory. A machine stamps out thousands of plastic shapes in an hour. In fact, the 10,000th piece costs much less to produce than the first one. It is fast, cheap, and impersonal.
On the other hand, imagine me sitting at my desk with a needle, a thin thread, and thousands of tiny glass beads. First, I pick up a tiny bead and weave it. Then, I reach for the second bead to lock it in place. Finally, I repeat this slow motion until I reach the 500th bead.

Here is the truth about handmade jewelry: The 100th earring takes exactly the same amount of time and focus to make as the 1st one. Unfortunately, I cannot speed up my hands. I cannot ask a machine to put its “soul” into the beads. Therefore, each earring and pendant involves hours of patience, silence, and care.

Why No “Black Friday” Sticker?
So, here is my question again: Knowing that every single piece is made bead-by-bead by a real person… Do you think I should put a “Black Friday” sticker on it?
If I slashed my prices by 50%, I wouldn’t just be cutting the price. I would be saying that my time, my eyesight, and my passion are worth half as much today as they were yesterday.
Consequently, I chose a different path. I chose honesty.
At Tiszi, you won’t find artificial “mega sales” or fake discounts. Instead, you find fair prices all year round.
Fair Prices and Honest Value
Of course, I do have sales sometimes! We all need a little refresh. When I need to make space for new collections, I love to see the last pieces of my older descigns find their new homes at a friendly price. But that is about making room for new creativity, not about playing marketing games.
When you buy a pair of beaded earrings from me, you are not paying for mass production. You are paying for hours of human work, high-quality materials, and a piece of my heart.
Thank you for understanding the true value of handmade. And thank you for supporting a small business owner, not just on Black Friday, but every day. ❤️
